"Paint The Path" Color Run

Dear Fowler Middle School Community,

Thank you to all of you who participated in our first-ever Paint the Path Color Run!  We had a blast and more importantly we came together as a community to kick-off our fall fundraiser and raise money to support our school!

We have a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on the future of our children. As you may know, Frisco ISD is facing a $30.8 million deficit, which threatens to limit the educational tools and resources our students need to thrive. This is where we, as a community, can step in and make a difference.

By participating in the Paint the Path Color Run and donating to our fundraiser, you’re not just giving money—you’re investing in our children's education. Your contributions will directly support essential school programs, classroom supplies, and enriching activities that foster a vibrant learning environment at Fowler Middle School.

Every dollar counts. No donation is too small; each one plays a crucial role in creating a brighter, more engaging experience for our students. Together, we can ensure that every child at Fowler has access to the resources they need to succeed.

Let’s unite as a community to uplift our students and secure their educational future. Donate today and help us paint a bright future for Fowler Middle School!

How can you donate?

Cash and check donations can be sent to school with your Fowler student.  Donations should be turned in with the pledge form they received last week by Friday, October 25th.

Online donations can be made at www.fowlerpta.com.  If you have a Membership Toolkit account with our Fowler PTA (this does not require you to be a PTA member), your child will have a personalized donation page they can share with family and friends!

Bag Recycling Drive 2024

Our annual FISD bag recycling drive starts in just a few short weeks.   Last year FISD recycled over 63,000 bags during one week.

Unfortunately plastic film can’t be recycled in our single stream.  It gets dirty and blows around/catches on machinery in the recycling facility.  Our first goal would be to reduce our use of plastic film, but it is difficult to avoid altogether.  The good news is that we offer plastic film recycling at every campus in FISD.  Plastic film is picked up by the City of Frisco (including our McKinney, Plano, and Little Elm schools).

Plastic film is our number one contaminant found in the single stream recycling throughout our district. The bag recycling drive gives us a great opportunity to teach our community about contamination in our single stream recycling.

Campuses will be competing against each other to see who can collect the most plastic bags/film to be recycled during the week of October 21 - 25.

Short video about what happens to plastic film in the MRF (recycling facility).

Lunch Drop Off procedure

We know that our families like to deliver a fresh lunch for students, and we appreciate the effort that parents go through to bring nutritious food for their students.  We are just taking the front office out of the process.  The teachers on Lunch Room duty will bring the coolers into the cafeteria at the beginning of each lunch period for students.

Students may receive lunch drop-offs via the grade level coolers outside the cafeteria entrance on the West side of our building. All drinks left in the coolers must be in sealed containers (no “to-go” cups). Lunches should be labeled with the student's name before being placed in the coolers. Lunch should be dropped off 15 minutes before the beginning of each lunch period. Parents with late deliveries will need to sign in and deliver the lunch to their student in the cafeteria.  No food delivery services are permitted (UberEats, DoorDash, etc.)

Student Lunch Times for your reference:

6th Grade Lunch 11:25-11:55, please have lunch here by 11:10

7th Grade Lunch 12:11-12:41, please have lunch here by 11:56

8th Grade Lunch 12:57-1:27, please have lunch here by 12:42.

Parents are still welcome to sign in at the front office and have lunch with their students.

Keep Recycling All Year Long! 🌍♻️

Guess what? Our 'Battery Recycling Drive' just wrapped up, and a big shout-out to all the awesome donors --THANK YOU! 🌟 But here's the cool part: we collect batteries and plastic bags ALL year long. Yup, you heard it right!

Just swing by the designated collection spot in the Fowler front entry foyer anytime. Drop off those batteries and bags, and voilà, you're officially our eco-conscious hero!

 🌍 Let's keep it green together! 💚
